Code Name: Johnny Walker: The Extraordinary Story of the Iraqi Who Risked Everything to Fight with the U.S. Navy SEALs by Johnny Walker, Jim DeFelice

I’ve read and watched a lot about the wars in Iraq but this is a first for me.

This book is about ‘Johnny Walker‘ who was a translator for U.S. soldiers – notably SEALs – in Iraq. Eight years this guy worked for the Americans putting his life on the line. Just inconceivable the risks Walker took in a situation which became worse and worse day by day. A dangerous job with all the stress in staying alive and making sure his family did too.

Gave a very different perspective about the war and is well worth reading. Importantly, the SEALs he worked for, actively helped Walker migrate to the States.
